Make Your Own Chrysanthemum
Would you believe these are made out of t-shirts? Looks like a fun project for the weekend, doesn't it? Directions are here at Selvedge, an interior decorating magazine. This DIY project is actually an excerpt from the Alabama Stitch Book by Natalie Chanin Stewart, Tabori and Chang.

Very cool! I want to try this and also try pulling on each of the "petals" to distort them... maybe get more of a peony look out of them that way...
