Cafe Cartolina does such a great job of finding fantastic home collections. I just love these images from Mulberry Home. I especially like the second image with the dark walls and that brilliant chair. I'm often drawn to photographs that have black or navy blue walls, but I have to wonder if they would have the same effect in my home. I fear such a dark colored wall would show light colored scuffs and or scratches.
I was recently sitting in the doctor's office reading Vanity Fair when I came across an article on a famous English designer, Celia Birtwell. I instantly fell in love with her design style. From 1966 to 1974, Birtwell and her then husband, Ossie Clark, made quite the duo. She designed whimsical textile prints and he would use her textiles to create clothing for famous people such as Mick Jagger and Twiggy.

Ohhhh, how I love to daydream about places like this. "Mr. Wood, a 79-year-old Boston architect, bought the house with his ex-wife Joan in 1961 for $3,600. It had been empty for two decades." This house has 10 bedrooms with a view. The homeowners have come up with an ingenious way to maintain the property. They have a 'work' weekend by inviting 70 people over who are lovers of their home to come help with things like ohhhh, washing 65 windows. What a great idea. Woodson and Rummerfield are two very hot and young designers. What I like most about their decorating is that they can take the smallest room such as this tiny little bathroom and make it glamorous. I came across the Woodson and Rummerfield website while browsing on Alkemie. Alkemie is a great website for interior decorating. There are tons of links to designers and all things related to decorating.
I have a new favorite blog. A must read. Coveiter You must check it out for yourself. She posts about fashion, furniture, art, gardening. Everything that's cool. I'm finding a ton of great information off of her site. I think you will too. So, the chairs posted above were posted on Coveiter, but actually come from Spruce. Cool, hip, elegent reupholstered furniture. I enjoy reupholstering, so I find the furniture inspiring. I think what I like most is the fabric choices they have used on each piece of furniture.
